With a collective fishing experience surpassing 145 years, the Fishing Wards Crew has traversed various continents, numerous countries, and countless states. From extracting Bluegill from ponds to landing Muskie in lakes and trout from the pristine streams of the west coast, our team has encountered diverse fishing adventures. Among our most memorable experiences are the rod-shattering encounters with giant Catfish in the Mississippi River and the adrenaline-pumping excitement of saltwater fishing, where the scream of a reel accompanies the powerful struggle of a Tuna or billfish.
ABOUT THE OWNERS
Our ownership includes veterans of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, with some transitioning to careers as commercial fishermen and one establishing a local charter business that continues to welcome clients today.
BEYOND FISHING
Despite our years of experience, there were moments when catching fish proved challenging. Whether due to the wrong location or ineffective bait, we found ourselves exploring the creation of our own lures and bait concoctions. Through trial and error, we developed a keen understanding of above and below-surface structures, recognizing them as primary gathering points for various fish species. Mastering the operation of fish-finders, interpreting topographic maps, and understanding our surroundings became crucial. Our experiments, successes, and lessons learned have been meticulously documented into waypoints, providing a wealth of knowledge and enjoyment for fellow fishing enthusiasts for years to come.
